Don't define me with and adjective, only with verbs

I do not like when people define me using adjectives.
Don't call me Dumb, or Ugly, also do not call me Smart or Successful.
Adjectives are passive, they are one-dimensional and give the feeling of a final state. That's it, "you are dumb" and there is nothing you can do about, or even worst "you are successful" and so you do not need to keep on working hard to stay ahead.
If you really need to define me (and it is not clear to me why?) then please have the decency to use a verb.
"He is trying", "he is changing", "he is failing" or learning or even getting lost. Verbs denote the fact that it is my responsibility to do what I am doing, and at the same time to change this if I am not happy with it.
Verbs also show that it is an activity, and unless I keep doing this activity something else will happen instead.
The Past happened because I did (or did not do) something, now I am either doing something or not doing it, and my future will depend on what I can and choose to do or not. I am a verb, I see you as a verb. Please do not define me as an adjective until it is really time to do so...
